L.S Lowry’s Hand Signed Limited Edition print ‘County Court Salford’ shows a view of the court buidling from the perspective of an onlooker who stands in the street. Much like many of Lowry’s street scenes, the print is frmaed by buildings on either side and the centra; focal point is the building in the prints title.
Lowr’s lithographs like County Court Salford are produced by hand whereby a plate is etched and inked, and the paper is then pressed onto the plate to prodcue an original. Due to this printing process, no two prints are exactly the same. Editions like these are therefore relatively small, in the case 75, and as a result they are rare and highly sough after items.
